Sharing Love with Quilting

Bree's Aunt Kristi left behind 2 children. Courtney age 12 and Carson age 8. I wanted to do something for them, but I didn't know what to do for them. They are such strong kids.

So I thought. I thought about Bree and her experience with losing her mom at the age of 13. I thought about what people gave her during that trying time in her life. I then remembered that the young women from Bree's ward made her a quilt. She stills holds that quilt dear to her.

I thought of what that quilt symbolized to Bree. I know that the quilts I make for others have brought smiles to there faces and joy to their hearts. After thinking for awhile I realized they can be more.

So I made each of the kids a quilt. I wanted them to be able to have something to comfort them in times of sorrow and grief. You know when you were little and you would bundle up in a blanket or hide under the covers, it made you feel a little better, a little safer, and you felt a little more loved.

Love comes in a sorts of ways. I wanted these quilts to provide love for Courtney and Carson. Here are the pictures of the quilts I made for them.

My hope is that the quilts I made for Courtney and Carson will bring the same comfort and love that Bree's quilt has given to her.
